About Dustin

Born an artistic soul, Dustin was taught to paint at a young age by his grandmother, Peggy. And that innate love for art informed every stage of his life going forward as he continuously explored different sides of his creative talent. His high school and college extracurriculars were mostly about music (marching band and theater, specifically), while his post-collegiate endeavors focused on photography and jewelry design. Through it all, he consistently returned to the skills Peggy taught him as a child.

Now, Dustin primarily specializes in commissioned abstract paintings and portraits. For his abstracts, he employs a gentle mix of color and texture to create unique conversation-starters that can set the mood for any space. His portraits exhibit a diverse range of styles, from straightforward and realistic to surreal and humorous, depending on the subject or client.

His first formal art show in November 2015 was titled “Squad,” and highlighted his collection of iconic women’s portraits. The show was a runaway success, with nearly every one of his 20 works selling on the spot.

Dustin is a staunch advocate for LGBTQ+ and women’s rights, and the pieces in his portfolio are frequently influenced by those beliefs and values. He serves on the Board of Directors for Black Tie Dinner in Dallas, Texas.

In his free time, Dustin can often be found with a paintbrush in one hand (and a coffee in the other), turning a blank canvas into something beautiful.
